The von Schnitzels is the latest social media campaign from London based social media agency Hurricane on behalf of German computer and electronics brand Medion.
Tasked with broadening the appeal of the Medion brand beyond its core gaming community, the campaign follows a fictional eccentric German family called the von Schnitzels and their crazy journey around London, Eng-er-land.
You get more with Medion!
From the Column of Nelson to ze Big Ben everything is as easy as peas!
First there’s Papa – Otto, the head of the house. Maybe not the sharpest bratwürst in the shop but he knows his Medion technology from motherboard to megabyte. Then there is Helga, his wife – the real power of the family, keeping everyone on their toes and staying in touch with her extended family and friends through her trusty Medion laptop.
Finally, there’s the kids, Augustus and Gertrude, who behave like any other brother and sister with their fair share of arguments. Augi is a gaming freak – racing, shoot em-ups he loves them all. Gerti is a social media addict – Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare; anything to keep in touch with her pals.
The family are making a video diary of their travels all produced using the power of Medion technology.
As they are huge fans of Medion, they can’t help but tell everyone that “you get more with Medion!”
